While slightly more rustic than the flashy lights of the Gold Coast, the Sunshine Coast offers a great beachside holiday also. A popular tourist attraction held twice weekly is the Eumundi Markets, which has hundreds of stallholders offering local delights and souvenirs twice weekly. There is also Underwater World at Moolloolaba and Australia Zoo at Beerwah in the Sunshine Coast hinterland if you decide to take the kids on a day excursion.
